Representative Mary Sattler Peltola announces additional staff updates

Washington, D.C. - Representative Mary Sattler Peltola today announced changes and additions to her official congressional staff.

Peltola has hired Paula Conru as Interim Director of Scheduling and Operations for her Washington, D.C. office. Conru has more than 30 years of experience working for and with Alaskans.  Her extensive public service includes positions with the Alaska Legislature, Alaska Governor’s Office and most recently as Congressman Don Young’s Scheduler and Office Manager. Her private sector experience includes planning and managing events such as the Alaska Forum on the Environment annual conference in Anchorage, Alaska.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and currently resides in DC with her husband and daughter.

“Paula’s deep understanding of Capitol Hill and years of service to Alaskans make her the perfect addition to my team," Peltola said. “I’m extremely grateful that she’s agreed to help me transition into my new role.”

In addition to hiring Conru, Peltola also announced that her previous Scheduler, Hector Jimenez, will return to Alaska to assume the role of State Director. Jimenez played an integral role in getting scheduling operations up and running in D.C. and is looking forward to building a strong constituent services team back in Alaska. He previously served as Peltola’s Deputy Campaign Manager. He first arrived in Alaska in 2013 to work on the North Slope and lives in Anchorage. He spent over a decade in the oil and gas sector and brings with him a strong operations background.
