Peltola Announces $18 Mil for Airport Improvement Program

WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Mary Sattler Peltola (AK-AL) announced $18,851,014 in funding for the FY24 Airport Improvement Program via the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) program, established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).

“People in the lower 48 don’t understand how much Alaskans rely on air transportation – 82% of our communities aren’t on the road system,” said Rep. Peltola. “These grants will update our airports and keep Alaskans safe.”
