Representative Mary Sattler Peltola is seeking highly motivated interns for her Anchorage and Washington DC offices. These positions offer an opportunity to learn about the U.S. House of Representatives and gain substantive work experience in an exciting and fast-paced office. Interns' responsibilities will vary, but they may be asked to answer phones, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office. Preference will be given to applicants who are a current or former resident of Alaska and have completed two semesters of college.
